There will be two events to launch my novel in North Wales.

Here are the details:-

Launch Party

Tuesday 15th October 2024

at Blue Sky Cafe

Ambassador Hall, Rear of 236 High Street, Bangor, LL57 1PA UK.

7.30 p.m. til late

Local lecturer and spoken-word performer Kathy Hopewell is launching her first novel, Swimming with Tigers (£9.99).

The novel is set in 1938 and begins with a chance meeting in a Paris café.  A story of passion, creativity and courage, Swimming with Tigers is based on the real-life women surrealists who inspired great art but also wanted to be recognised as artists in their own right.

The launch party will include surrealist games, an interview with the author, live music and book-signing.

Tigers of all stripes are welcome, and you are invited to attend in tiger fancy dress if you wish. A free copy of the novel will be awarded to the person in the best tiger costume.

Please note that the kitchen will be closed, so no food is available, but the bar downstairs will be open from 7 p.m.
